Choose the customer surface by the job it must do, then connect it to the same data, permissions and operator workflow.

Start with the customer journey

A Telegram Mini App is useful when customers already enter through a bot or community and need a richer in-chat interface. A conventional web app is easier to discover and share outside Telegram and can serve people who do not use that platform.

Neither interface should become a separate source of truth. Identity, business rules and persistent records belong behind the surface, with a deliberate handoff to the team that serves the customer.

What runs behind the Mini App

The Telegram products in our source portfolio combine a bot entry point, a protected Mini App interface and operational services such as scheduling, review or history. The Mini App is the interaction layer, not the whole system.

For a Cyprus business with groups, publishing and customer requests, central policy and pause controls matter as much as the interface. Uncertain or sensitive events should route to a person before an external action.

How to decide

Choose a Mini App when the primary task begins in Telegram and the in-chat return path matters. Choose a web app when open-web discovery, broad access or a standalone browser journey matters more.

A connected architecture can support both without duplicating the database. The decision should follow the user journey, data boundary and operator handoff—not a preference for one frontend technology.
